This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of Servstead by account owners, managers, field crew, portal users, and anyone accessing the Service under your account. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
Effective date: July 3, 2026.
1. Permitted use
Use the Service only for lawful business purposes related to operating a service company, including quoting, scheduling, invoicing, collecting payments, communicating with customers, and managing team workflows.
2. Prohibited conduct
You may not, and may not allow others to:
Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, including privacy, intellectual property, and payment network rules.
Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, probe or scan systems, interfere with Service integrity, or bypass usage limits or access controls.
Use the Service to send spam, phishing, deceptive marketing, or unsolicited messages.
Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against others.
Upload illegal content or content depicting exploitation or harm to minors.
Misrepresent your identity, business, licensing, insurance, or authorization to perform work.
Use the Service to process payments for illegal goods or services, launder money, or evade sanctions.
Resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized access to the Service except as expressly permitted by your plan.
Scrape, harvest, or bulk export data from the Service except through provided export tools and within your entitlements.
Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that burdens infrastructure or violates rate limits.
3. Customer communications and portal links
You are responsible for portal links you share. Do not expose customer data to unintended recipients. Disable or rotate links if they are compromised.
4. Team seats
Managers and crew access must be limited to authorized personnel. You are responsible for actions taken under seats you provision, including notes, photos, and status changes on jobs.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access without refund if we reasonably believe this AUP or the Terms has been violated or risk is posed to users, third parties, or Servstead.
